DuPont Names Terry Caloghiris to Lead Performance Coatings Transformation; Keith Smith Appointed Head of Engineering Polymers

WILMINGTON, Del., Aug. 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- DuPont has appointed Terry Caloghiris as Vice President and General Manager - Performance Coatings Transformation. In this role, Caloghiris will lead the strategic transformation of DuPont's coatings businesses to become the world's most cost-competitive, high value coatings supplier. He is currently Vice President and General Manager - DuPont Engineering Polymers.

"Terry will lead aggressive actions to enable our coatings business to achieve a larger share of international markets at the same time we are redesigning our cost position for long term profitability," said DuPont Chairman and CEO Charles O. Holliday, Jr.

Caloghiris, 53, has extensive global experience in a number of DuPont businesses that serve the automotive industry -- the primary market for DuPont coatings. With assignments in Asia, Europe and the Americas, Caloghiris has held a range of manufacturing, sales and marketing, technical and business management positions. He joined DuPont in 1979.

Keith J. Smith will succeed Caloghiris as Vice President and General Manager - DuPont Engineering Polymers. Smith, 47, is currently Global Marketing Director - DuPont Engineering Polymers. With assignments in both the United States and Europe, he has held a number of engineering, planning, sales and business management positions. He joined DuPont in 1980.
