Dow Chemical Co Q3 Income Rises 7%

(RTTNews) - Dow Chemical Co (DOW) announced earnings for its third quarter that climbed from last year.

The company said its bottom line advanced to $1.03 billion, or $0.91 per share. This was up from $959 million, or $0.82 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.79 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 1.2% to $11.22 billion. This was down from $11.36 billion last year.
