Dow Chemical Co Bottom Line Climbs 2% In Q2

(RTTNews) - Dow Chemical Co (DOW) announced earnings for its second quarter that climbed from last year.

The company said its bottom line climbed to $1.08 billion, or $0.95 per share. This was up from $1.06 billion, or $0.91 per share, in last year's second quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.86 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 5.9% to $11.49 billion. This was down from $12.21 billion last year.
