Dover Corp Q3 Profit Increases, beats estimates

(RTTNews) - Dover Corp (DOV) reported a profit for its third quarter that increased from last year and beat the Street estimates.

The company's earnings came in at $290 million, or $2.06 per share. This compares with $286 million, or $2.00 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Excluding items, Dover Corp reported adjusted earnings of $331 million or $2.35 per share for the period.

Analysts on average had expected the company to earn $2.33 per share, according to figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company's revenue for the quarter fell 0.2% to $2.153 billion from $2.158 billion last year.
