Wuppertal, 16 December 2015 - As announced at this year's Annual General Meeting, the GESCO AG Executive Board is to be expanded: the Supervisory Board has appointed Dr Eric Bernhard (43) as a new member of the GESCO AG Executive Board effective as at 1 January 2016. Dr Bernhard brings a wealth of management experience in the metal and plastics processing industry. After a number of years of working for McKinsey, Dr Bernhard, who holds a doctorate in business administration, took responsibility for the development of the commodities division at Interseroh SE as Division Manager, among other things. He also assisted in the integration of SULO-Industrieholding into listed company Plastic Omnium Group as CEO.

As a member of the GESCO Executive Board, Dr Bernhard is responsible for the strategic and operating development of subsidiaries. Dr-Ing Hans-Gert Mayrose continues to be responsible for M&A and Investor Relations, while Robert Spartmann remains in charge of Finance, Legal and HR; in addition, both are responsible for advising current subsidiaries. The three Executive Board members hold equal rights; no Chairman or Spokesman of the Executive Board has been appointed.
