DGAP-News: CHORUS Clean Energy AG: Record year for electricity generation from solar and wind parks

Neubiberg/Munich, March 9, 2016 - CHORUS Clean Energy AG ("CHORUS") based in Neubiberg near Munich, a company specializing in the operation of solar and wind power plants managed to significantly increase the electricity generation of solar and wind power plants in comparison with the previous year. A total of almost 400,000,000 kWh was produced by the entire plant portfolio in 2015. The previous year's figure was about 258,000,000 kWh representing an increase of more than 50 percent. Particularly strong growth was seen in the asset management for third parties. The output here grew from about 29,000,000 kWh to more than 150,000,000 kWh, which - besides the excellent performance - is attributable to the consistent expansion of the asset management business and the successfully completed new acquisitions.
The production of the plants in the CHORUS portfolio developed positively as well and exceeded the expectations by 3.1 percent.
The total annual production of CHORUS corresponds to the electricity consumption of about 150,000 average households per year. Thus, the total output of about 240,000 tons of CO2 emissions harmful to the climate could be prevented.
