CHORUS Clean Energy AG expands portfolio in Austria by more than 21 megawatts

- CHORUS acquires wind park in the Austrian state of Burgenland and secures another wind park in the state of Steiermark

- Seller is project developer ECOwind, a subsidiary of BayWa r.e. Group

- Further acquisitions of attractive solar and wind parks are planned within the next few weeks

Neubiberg/Munich, 21 December 2015 - CHORUS Clean Energy AG ("CHORUS") based in Neubiberg near Munich, a company specializing in the operation of solar and wind power plants, has acquired a wind park in the state of Burgenland with a total capacity of over 7 megawatts (MW) and secured another wind park with a total capacity of more than 14 MW in Steiermark. By adding these two projects, CHORUS significantly extends its portfolio in Austria.

The wind park in Zagersdorf in the Austrian state of Burgenland is expected to be connected to the grid in April 2016. It consists of three proven wind turbines of the type Enercon E-92 with a hub height of more than 100 metres. The park benefits from a feed-in tariff of at least 9.27 Euro cents per kilowatt-hour (kWh) guaranteed for a period of 13 years.

CHORUS has secured an additional project in Herrenstein, Steiermark, which is planned to be connected to the grid in 2017. The wind park is entitled to a guaranteed feed-in tariff of 9.36 Euro cents per kilowatt-hour. CHORUS has been operating a wind park in this region since 2013, delivering an outstanding performance.

ECOwind GmbH, the seller of both parks, is specialising in the development of wind power plants. The company is based in Kilb, Austria, and a subsidiary of the BayWa r.e. Group. The renowned ECOwind is focused on the integrated planning and construction of wind farms in Austria and the neighbouring countries.

In the coming weeks, the acquisition of more attractive solar and wind parks will follow", said Holger Götze, CEO of CHORUS Clean Energy AG. Besides, we are confident to continuously supply our investors with high-quality renewable energy plants with stable cash-flows throughout Europe", the CEO added.
