Critical Process Filtration Names Steven Pearl Vice President of Quality Management

NASHUA, N.H., July 8, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Critical Process Filtration, Inc. ®, a vertically integrated manufacturer and supplier of premium process filtration products and services, today announced the appointment of Steven Pearl as Vice President of Quality Management.

In this newly created position, Mr. Pearl will be responsible for quality systems, new product validation, design control in development of new products, and product quality assessments.

Mr. Pearl has more than 25 years of experience in developing and validating high quality membrane based products for use by Biopharmaceutical manufacturers. His previous positions include Vice President of R&D at both Millipore and Pall Life Sciences. Mr. Pearl has managed large R & D groups developing products under ISO 9001 Design control and disciplined Stage-Gate development processes. The expected result of this initiative is a more efficient flow of robust filtration products.

Critical Process Filtration, Inc. ® is currently an ISO 2001:2008 registered company that is also preparing for ISO 13485:2003 audit and subsequent registration. This dual registration brings its QC program into parity with those of its FDA regulated customers. Staffing this position with someone with Mr. Pearl's strong technical background ensures QC is heavily involved from the product rationalization stage, through the lifecycle of the product. His experience will be used to streamline the development and transfer of new products to manufacturing. Critical Process Filtration will continue to be a low risk choice for existing and potential customers but with a more efficient flow of new products.
