CorVel Q2 Profit Down - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - CorVel Corp. (CRVL) reported that its net income for the second-quarter ended September 30, 2014 declined to $7.88 million from $8.68 million in the same quarter last year. Earnings per share for the quarter were $0.37 down from $0.41 last year.

During the quarter, the company released new applications for claimants and for healthcare professionals, each of which extended CorVel's integrated workers' compensation solution to an additional constituency in an episode of care.

Revenues for the quarter were $124 million, a 4% increase over the $119 million in revenue in the quarter ended September 30, 2013.
