Community Trust Bancorp Profit Rises

(RTTNews) - Community Trust Bancorp Inc (CTBI) Wednesday reported second-quarter net earnings of $12.2 million or $0.70 per share, compared with $11.9 million or $0.69 per share last year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters projected earnings of $0.64 per share for the quarter.

Net interest income for the quarter was $32.8 million, compared with $33.3 million in the prior year. Non interest income was $11 million, compared with $13.3 million in the prior year.

Analysts projected revenue of $44.6 million for the quarter.

Loan-loss provision for the quarter was $735 thousand, compared with $3.7 million a year ago.

Non interest expense dropped to $25.3 million from $26 million last year.
