Community Bank System Inc. Q2 Income Advances 33%

(RTTNews) - Community Bank System Inc. (CBU) released a profit for its second quarter that increased compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line climbed to $35.93 million, or $0.73 per share. This was higher than $26.98 million, or $0.60 per share, in last year's second quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.6 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 14.7% to $129.3 million. This was down from $151.5 million last year.
