Coca-Cola Enterprises Inc. Board of Directors Names John Brock President and Chief Executive Officer

Coca-Cola Enterprises (NYSE: CCE) today announced thatJohn Brock, former chief executive officer of InBev, chief operatingofficer of Cadbury Schweppes and chairman of Dr Pepper/Seven UpBottling Group Inc., has been elected president and chief executiveofficer and a member of the Board of Directors. Lowry F. Kline hasserved as chairman since April 2002 and as interim chief executiveofficer since December 2005. Mr. Kline will continue as chairman.

"John's global operations, marketing and brand experience make himuniquely suited to address today's complex marketplace dynamics. Hisinsight and strategic leadership, honed over almost three decades ofmanaging international companies, has made him one of the mostrespected leaders in the beverage industry," said Mr. Kline. "John'sknowledge of both the brand and bottling sides of our business is apowerful combination that will benefit our unparalleled distributionnetwork and brand portfolio to drive value for our shareowners."

Mr. Brock will assume his role beginning May 15, 2006. Mr. Brock, 57, most recently served as chief executive officer ofInBev, the world's largest beer brewer by volume. Prior to that, hewas chief operating officer of Cadbury Schweppes and chairman of DrPepper/Seven-Up Bottling Group from March 2000 to January 2003. Duringthis time he was named Beverage Industry Magazine's 2000 Executive ofthe Year. Mr. Brock served as managing director of Global Beveragesand as a member of the board of directors at Cadbury Schweppes from1996 to 2000; and president and chief executive officer of DrPepper/Seven-Up Inc. from 1995 to 1996. Previously, he served aspresident of European and North American Beverages for CadburySchweppes from 1992 to 1996 and president of Cadbury Schweppes'international beverage division for markets outside the U.S. andEurope from 1990 to 1992. He began at Cadbury Schweppes in 1983 andheld several positions in technical and operations functions andmarketing. Prior to joining Cadbury Schweppes, Mr. Brock was atProcter & Gamble in Cincinnati from 1972 to 1983.

Mr. Kline, 66, has served as interim chief executive officer sinceDecember 2005 and as chairman since April 2002. Prior to being electedchairman, Mr. Kline served as chief executive officer. In April 2000,he was elected a member of the company's Board of Directors and itsvice chairman after serving as executive vice president and chiefadministrative officer. He joined Coca-Cola Enterprises in 1991 asgeneral counsel.
