Chemed Results Miss Estimate; Tightens FY Guidance - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Chemed Corp (CHE), a provider of hospice and palliative care services, Thursday reported third-quarter net earnings of $24.6 million or $1.39 per share compared with $17.4 million or $0.94 per share last year.

Excluding items, adjusted earnings for the quarter were $1.48 per share compared with $1.36 per share a year ago.

Revenues for the quarter were $358.4 million compared with $340.9 million in the prior year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $1.51 per share on revenues of $359.9 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

For the full year, the company now expects adjusted earnings of $6.00 to $6.05 per share, from prior guidance of $5.90 to $6.10 per share. Analysts expect earnings of $5.95 per share.
