Central Pacific Financial Q4 Profit Down

(RTTNews) - Central Pacific Financial Corp. (CPF) Thursday reported fourth-quarter profit of $9.0 million or $0.21 per share, down from $12.4 million or $0.29 per share in the same period last year.

Adjusted earnings for the quarter were $51.0 million or $1.21 per share. On average, four analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.23 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Net-interest income increased to $35.5 million from $29.4 million last year. Net-interest margin was 3.29 percent, compared to 3.19 percent last year. Other operating income amounted to $12.17 million, down from $16.86 million last year.
