Brookfield Infrastructure Q1 FFO Up - Quick Facts
(RTTNews) - Brookfield Infrastructure's (BIP, BIP_UN.TO) first-quarter funds from operations or FFO rose to $186 million, or $0.89 per unit, from $160 million, or $0.80 per unit, last year, reflecting steady improvements in each of its operating segments and the deployment of capital in both organic growth initiatives and new acquisitions.
Further, the firm reported net income of $32 million, or $0.10 per unit for the latest quarter, versus a loss of $28 million, or $0.17 per unit, a year ago, that was impacted by debt breakage costs.
Quarterly revenues increased year-over-year to $480 million, from $463 million.
In addition, the board declared a quarterly distribution of $0.48 per unit, payable on June 30, 2014 to unitholders of record as at the close of business on May 30, 2014.
