Boeing Delivers 186 Commercial Airplanes In Q3

(RTTNews) - Boeing Co. (BA) said Friday that it delivered 186 commercial airplanes in the third quarter of 2014, an increase of 9.4% compared to the 170 commercial airplanes delivered in the same quarter last year.

The 2014 third quarer deliveries include 120 of Boeing's 737 Next Generation aircrafts, 31 787 dreamliners, 27 777s, 2 767a and 6 747 jumbos.

For the year-to-date period, the company delivered 528 commercial airplanes, compared to 476 in the same period last year.

Boeing said Thursday that it will increase production on the 737 program to 52 airplanes per month in 2018 in response to strong market demand from customers worldwide. Once the increase is implemented, the 737 program is expected to build more than 620 airplanes per year. Boeing currently produces 42 airplanes per month at its Renton, Wash., factory.
