BNC Bancorp Q4 Profit Declines

(RTTNews) - BNC Bancorp (BNCN) Friday reported fourth-quarter net income available to common shareholders was $3.3 million, or $0.12 per share, compared to $4.4 million, or $0.19 per share in the comparable quarter last year.

On average, four analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected earnings of $0.16 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Net interest income for the quarter rose to $29.9 million from $24.1 million in the year-ago quarter, while non-interest income was $5.2 million, down from $10.4 million in the prior-year quarter.
