BlackBerry Smartphones Now Compatible with FranklinCovey's PlanPlus for Microsoft Outlook v.5

FranklinCovey (NYSE:FC) announced today it now includes applications for BlackBerry® smartphones in its new release of PlanPlus for Microsoft® Outlook® v.5, the company's planning and information management application. The new PlanPlus applications for BlackBerry smartphones from Research In Motion (RIM) (Nasdaq: RIMM; TSX: RIM) include the FranklinCovey Prioritized Task List, Master Task List and Daily Notes. PlanPlus for Outlook v.5 enhances Outlook by seamlessly integrating the proven planning methods from FranklinCovey within the familiar Outlook environment. This version has multiple new features: A redesigned Daily Task Management module, new applications for BlackBerry and Pocket PC devices, new printing enhancements, and more, including existing Palm applications. The upgrade is compatible with Windows XP and Windows Vista, Microsoft Outlook 2000, 2002, 2003 and 2007. The software was created in collaboration with Agilix®, FranklinCovey's development partner. The new user interface allows customers the ability to view tasks or projects, appointments and notes or e-mail modules - all on one screen. The navigation bar along the top of the screen allows easy accessibility to Notes, Daily Tasks, Project Manager, Weekly Planning and "Coach Me” Dynamic Help. The Task List supports customizable columns and a rich-text editor which allows customers full customization ability as they capture important information with new Infinotes and Daily Notes modules. Also new in this version is a robust daily task management module. Customers can use Quick Prioritize for 10-15 minutes each day to prioritize their tasks by importance using drag-and-drop functionality. Quick Prioritize now gives customers full editing capability for tasks, plus the ability to change task status and the ability to add, delete or move tasks to a future day. By using Quick Prioritize daily to plan and organize tasks, customers can increase their productivity by focusing on and completing their most leveraged tasks in order of importance. The completely redesigned printing module now provides traditional FranklinCovey Planning Page customers with high quality printouts of PlanPlus and Outlook data, which can be printed in all four FranklinCovey planning page sizes, allowing customers to print and carry their vital information with them. The Project Manager allows customers the ability to manage basic projects and track project tasks, all within a user-friendly interface that is directly integrated with the FranklinCovey Prioritized Task List. Project Manager supports customizable columns to display additional information such as priority, flags, owner, category, due date and more on one screen. To simplify the reporting process, Project Manager can easily generate summary or detailed email project reports at the touch of a button. Additionally, using a Microsoft Exchange Server, customers can delegate a task and see its progress or completion on their own list as progress changes are made by the individual to whom the task was delegated. Project Manager also supports templates and copy and paste functionality.
