BGE HOME Chooses MDSI's Advantex r7; Solution to Improve Enterprise F

    RICHMOND, British Columbia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 22, 2005--MDSI Mobile Data Solutions Inc. (TSX:MMD)(NASDAQ:MDSI)

    BGE HOME, a Maryland based provider of home improvement, appliance service, plumbing and electrical sales and service, and HVAC sales and services, has selected MDSI Mobile Data Solutions' Advantex r7 software to manage its field service operations.

    For BGE HOME, Advantex will replace an earlier version of MDSI's software used for scheduling, work order assignment, dispatching, and managing fieldwork. Advantex r7 will also enable dispatchers to use GPS to locate and monitor the exact position of the fleet on detailed maps. Field workers will be able to use Street Level Routing to identify the quickest route between assignments, sequence assignments to minimize driving time, and request driving directions on-demand. Advantex Business Intelligence will enable managers to monitor workforce performance and control operational costs.
