Benefitfocus Q3 Loss Widens; Issues Q4 Outlook - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Benefitfocus, Inc. (BNFT) Thursday reported third-quarter net loss of $6.8 million, or $1.08 per share, wider than $2.4 million, or $0.49 per share in the comparable quarter last year.

Non-GAAP net loss for the latest third quarter widened to $6.4 million, or $0.30 per share from $2.1 million, or $0.10 per share in the prior year quarter.

Revenue increased 26% to $26.32 million from $20.83 million a year ago.

Looking ahead to the fourth quarter, the company expects non-GAAP net loss to be in the range of $8.0 million to $8.5 million, or $0.33 to $0.35 per share and revenue in the range of $28.0 million to $29.0 million.

For full year 2013, the company expects non-GAAP net loss to be in the range of $28.9 million to $29.4 million, or $1.30 to $1.33 per share and revenue in the range of $102.5 million to $103.5 million.
