(RTTNews) - Axiall Corp (AXLL), a maker of chemicals and building products, reported third-quarter net income of $44.5 million or $0.63 per share, higher than $39.0 million or $0.55 per share in the prior-year quarter.

Excluding items, adjusted earnings for the quarter were $0.72 per share, compared to $0.97 per share in the year-ago quarter.

Revenue for the quarter grew to $1.27 billion from $1.20 billion in the same quarter last year.
