AT&T Q3 Results Miss Estimates

(RTTNews) - AT&T Inc. (T) today reported net income for the third quarter of $3.0 billion or $0.58 per share, compared to $3.8 billion or $0.72 per share for the year-ago quarter.

Excluding significant items, adjusted EPS for the third quarter was $0.63, compared to $0.66 in the prior year quarter.

Revenues for the third quarter rose 2.5% to $32.96 billion from $32.16 billion a year earlier.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.64 per share on revenue of $33.24 billion for the third quarter. Analysts' estimate typically exclude special items.

The company said it now expects full-year revenue growth in the 3% to 4% range, compared to its prior outlook of growth in the 5% range. Analysts currently expect the company to post full year revenue growth of 3.4%.
