Arrow Electronics, Inc. (NYSE:ARW) today announced the availability of the Gemini Series Server and Storage platforms from Advanced Industrial Computer (AIC) to North American customers. The Gemini platform is designed to help speed customer time-to-market with greater performance and increased bandwidth for storage and computing applications.

Arrow is incorporating a full suite of design and engineering services within its specialized OEM Computing Solutions group, providing global system integration and logistics capabilities for the Gemini platform.

The Gemini platform is based on the patented Max IO™ technology from AIC, a leading provider of OEM/ODM server and storage platforms. Together with the recently released Intel^® 5520 chipset, the Gemini platform offers maximum flexibility across a broad variety of storage applications, security and communications infrastructures. The Gemini platform also supports the Intel^® Xeon^® processor 5500 series offering high performance computing and power efficiency.

With the new platform, customers will benefit from:

• Speed and scalability of dual fast processors on a single board
• Increased memory capacity - up to 192 GB
• Enhanced storage capacity - six GBE ports for more storage and increased options
