Arrow Electronics' Arrowfest Kicks Off in September

MELVILLE, N.Y., Aug. 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Arrow Electronics, Inc. announced today the kick-off of its annual Arrowfest events. Arrowfest provides a festive environment where engineering, purchasing, and supply chain professionals, original equipment manufacturers, contract manufacturers, representatives, suppliers, and Arrow team members can experience first-hand the latest innovations in technology, build valuable relationships, and swap ideas. Events will be held in nine cities across the United States from September through November.

This year, Arrowfest will be held in Boston, Mass. on September 8; Dallas, Texas on September 13; Chicago, Ill. on September 15; Baltimore, Md. on September 20; Silicon Valley, Calif. on September 22; Eden Prairie, Minn. on October 6; Orange County, Calif. on October 18; San Diego, Calif. on October 20; and Phoenix, Ariz. on November 3. Each location will have its own theme from Mardi Gras to casinos. Technical supplier seminars relevant to each marketplace, hands-on training, supplier and Arrow booths, and supplier product demonstrations will be complemented by festivities, music, giveaways, and food.

The first Arrowfest was held 17 years ago at Arrow's Minnesota branch. It has grown in popularity every year, and in 2004 the event expanded from six to nine locations with more than 4,400 people attending. Each Arrowfest location typically has 50 to 75 supplier booths featuring the industry's leading technologies.
