ARRIS To Act as Agent for Amedia's QoStream Products

    Amedia Products Pass Lab Testing Performed By ARRIS and Noted as "Ideal Platform for Delivering High Definition / Triple Play Services"

    ARRIS (NASDAQ: ARRS), a global provider of next generation high-speed data, video and telephony systems and equipment, and Amedia Networks, Inc. (OTC BB: AANI), a provider of Ethernet ultra-broadband solutions for the Triple Play Access Market, today jointly announced that they have entered into an agreement under which ARRIS and Amedia will develop joint technical and commercial initiatives, and in which ARRIS will globally market Amedia's QoStream(TM) product family as an integral component of its Ethernet optical access network product offering.

    With Amedia's QoStream Premises Gateway, carriers can offer highly economical and feature rich Voice over IP (VoIP) services to their subscribers without any need for those subscribers to change their existing telephone sets. In addition to VoIP and multiple Ethernet ports, an optional 802.11 WiFi access point is available. Traffic can be allocated in 1 Mbps blocks up to 100 Mbps, and assigned to multiple VLANs - each with multiple classes of service to enable a virtually unlimited number of quality of service (QoS) options. The 100 Mbps and the QoS capabilities define the QoStream Premises Gateway as an ideal vehicle for delivering HDTV, bandwidth intensive IP Video services. The Gateway is available in both an indoor and a truly hardened outdoor version, and is compliant with the requirements of the IEEE 802.3ah Ethernet standard.
