Anant Talaulicar Named Cummins Vice President

Anant Talaulicar, Chairman Cummins India Ltd., has beennamed a Cummins Vice President, the Company announced today.Talaulicar, 44, who also serves as Managing Director of Cummins IndiaArea Business Organization (ABO) and of Tata Cummins Ltd., a 50-50joint venture with Tata Motors, has been in his current position sinceMarch 2004.

A native of Mumbai, India, Talaulicar has worked full-time forCummins (NYSE:CMI) since 1988 and has held a number of positions inthe Company, both in the United States and India.

Talaulicar earned his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineeringfrom Mysore University in India in 1984, before traveling to theUnited States where he earned a master's degree in engineering fromthe University of Michigan in 1985 and an MBA from Tulane Universityin 1987.

He initially joined Cummins as an intern in 1986 while in graduateschool, and joined the Company permanently as a financial analyst inthe Midrange engine group in 1988. He also held engineering andproduct management positions in the engine business and was involvedwith corporate strategy work before joining the Cummins PowerGeneration business in 1996, where he progressed into generalmanagement roles.

He was named Joint Managing Director of Cummins India Ltd. in 2003with responsibilities for the Power Generation and DistributionBusinesses in India.

Talaulicar also leads the Cummins India Foundation communitydevelopment activities and is a member of the Confederation of IndianIndustries, Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers and AutomobileComponents Manufacturers Association.
