Analogic Corp. Profit Retreats 1% In Q3

(RTTNews) - Analogic Corp. (ALOG) reported a profit for third quarter that lost ground compared to the same period last year.

The company said its profit fell to $9.96 million, or $0.79 per share. This was lower than $10.10 million, or $0.80 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.74 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 4.5% to $122.16 million. This was down from $127.98 million last year.
