Amkor Technology Q3 Profit Rises

(RTTNews) - Amkor Technology Inc. (AMKR) Monday reported third-quarter net income of $25.3 million or $0.11 per share, compared to $22.3 million or $0.11 per share last year.

Net sales for the quarter were $768.0 million, up 10.4 percent from $695.4 million in the third quarter last year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.10 per share on revenues of $737.03 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Looking forward to the third quarter, the company expects earnings of $0.08 to $0.19 per share and sales of $730 million to $780 million. Analysts currently estimate earnings of $0.11 per share on revenues of $736.0 million for the quarter.
