Allstate Distributors LLC Appoints New National Sales Manager

    NORTHBROOK, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 2, 2005--Allstate Distributors LLC has hired George F. Veazey as senior vice president, national sales manager, for the broker/dealer, commonly known as the wirehouse channel. Veazey has worked extensively in the wirehouse industry since 1980. Allstate Distributors LLC is a broker/dealer affiliated with Allstate Financial.

    Before joining Allstate Distributors, Veazey shared responsibility for wirehouse sales at Travelers Life & Annuity and has served as a national sales manager for AIG Sun America. He was also president and national sales manager for Endeavor.
    In this new role with Allstate Distributors, Veazey will be responsible for assisting broker/dealers with strategic plans and achieving business goals through both variable and fixed annuity sales. Companies within the wirehouse channel include A.G. Edwards, Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, Smith Barney and UBS Financial.
    Veazey received a bachelor's degree from the University of Oklahoma.
