Akamai Technologies Inc Earnings Climb 7% In Q3

(RTTNews) - Akamai Technologies Inc (AKAM) announced a profit for its third quarter that advanced compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line climbed to $120.15 million, or $0.68 per share. This was up from $111.88 million, or $0.62 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.61 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 6.0% to $584.07 million. This was up from $551.03 million last year.
