Air China to Fly One Million Seats Per Week, Increase San Francisco Service to Daily

Starting March 25, Air China will launch its Summer 2007 flight schedule, adding significant capacity and new service. Continuing its strong market growth, with the new schedule Air China will fly 5,817 flights on 254 domestic and international routes, offering 1,000,000 seats every week. With these flights and routes, Air China will serve 26 countries and regions, including 77 domestic and 40 international cities. In the U.S. market, Air China will increase frequency on its Beijing-San Francisco route to daily service, starting April 1. "This increase at San Francisco will bring added convenience and service to both business and leisure passengers traveling to China.” said Mrs. Zhang Lan, Senior Vice President of Air China. "As the only airline with daily Beijing non-stops from both San Francisco and Los Angeles, Air China is showing its commitment to serving the growing demand for travel to and from China. With dailies at both gateways, we can offer not just West Coast service but also greater connecting access from the U.S. Midwest.” In Asia the new schedule will see Air China open a new non-stop service between Beijing and Sapporo, starting from April 18. Air China offers more than 230 weekly flights between China and Japan, connecting China to the six major Japanese cities of Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Fukuoka, Sendai, and Hiroshima. The Summer 2007 schedule will also feature increased cooperation on code-share services and continued preparations to join the global Star Alliance, enhancing both the Air China network and passenger convenience. As China’s sole designated flag carrier and the Airline Partner of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, Air China (HKEX: 0753; LSE: AIRC; SSE: 601111) serves 77 domestic and 40 international cities with an extensive network from its Beijing hub, conveniently linking passengers between China and destinations around the world. Air China continues to attract increasing international recognition as a world-class carrier and enjoys a growing reputation for high quality service, known for its traditional Chinese warmth and welcome. In North America, Air China serves New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Vancouver with non-stop service to Beijing.
