After-market Movers For Oct 22 (GLW, APOL, BRCM, CREE, DTLK, UIS)

Corning Inc. (GLW) gained 26 percent to $19.37. The company entered into a series of strategic and financial agreements with Samsung Display Co., Ltd., and will obtain full ownership of Samsung Corning Precision Materials Co., Ltd. The company's board authorized an additional $2 billion of share repurchases. Corning also announced preliminary third-quarter 2013 results.
Apollo Group, Inc. (APOL) rose 16 percent to $24.35. The company's fourth quarter profit and net revenue declined from the year-ago quarter, but topped Wall Street view. The company guided fiscal year 2014 net revenue below analysts' expectation.
Decliners:
Broadcom Corp. (BRCM) declined 8 percent to $24.95. The company's third quarter profit improved from the prior year period and its adjusted earnings per share topped Wall Street view. Revenues improved 0.8 percent. The company forecast fourth quarter total net revenue below Street view.
Cree, Inc. (CREE) fell 15 percent to $63.00. The company's first quarter profit improved from the prior year period. Revenue was higher than in the last year period, but missed the consensus estimate. The company forecast second quarter earnings below market view and revenue in-line with analysts' estimate.
Datalink Corp. (DTLK) fell 16 percent to $11.99 as the company's third quarter results missed analysts' expectations.
Unisys Corp. (UIS) declined 11 percent to $23.25 based on the news that its third quarter results were below Wall Street view.
