Affiliated Managers Group Q3 Profit Rises - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Affiliated Managers Group Inc. (AMG) said its third quarter net income attributable to controlling interest rose to $104.3 million, from $75.2 million in the comparable quarter last year. Earnings per share for the latest third quarter were $1.84, compared to $1.37 last year.

Economic net income attributable to controlling interest was $156.8 million, compared to $121.8 million for the same period of 2013. Quarterly economic earnings per share were $2.76, compared with $2.19 in the year-ago period. Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $2.71 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Revenue for the current quarter grew to $640.3 million from $551.6 million last year. Wall Street expected revenues of $658.05 million for the quarter.
