Advance Auto Parts Announces 3% Rise In Q3 Earnings

(RTTNews) - Advance Auto Parts (AAP) reported a profit for its third quarter that rose from last year.

The company said its bottom line totaled $144.20 million, or $1.95 per share. This was up from $139.33 million, or $1.89 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $2.09 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 0.4% to $2.30 billion. This was up from $2.29 billion last year.
