Outlook On Poland Ratings Raised To Positive
(RTTNews) - Poland's sovereign rating outlook was raised to positive on expectations that income levels will rise consistently on the back of broad-based and balanced economic growth.
Standard & Poor's Ratings Services affirmed the rating at 'A-'. The ratings on Poland remain supported by its strong, open, and competitive economy, it said.
The economy benefits from a floating exchange rate regime and domestic capital markets that permit the government to finance itself in local currency at long-dated maturities, S&P noted.
Elsewhere, Fitch Ratings affirmed the ratings of Poland at 'A-' with 'stable' outlook. Fitch said the ratings were supported by economic fundamentals, including a credible macroeconomic framework.
Fitch maintained its 'BB' rating on Croatia. The outlook remained stable.
Concerted fiscal consolidation and accelerated structural reforms would enhance sovereign creditworthiness and help free up fiscal space for better utilizing EUR 12.5 billion of pre-committed EU structural, cohesion and other funds technically available to Croatia in 2014-2020.
