New Zealand Services Sector Slows In February

(RTTNews) - The services sector in New Zealand continued to expand in February, albeit at a slower pace, the latest survey from Business NZ showed on Monday with an index score of 55.6.

That was down sharply from 57.8 in January, although it remains comfortably above the boom-or-bust line of 50 that separates expansion from contraction.

The individual components of the survey continued to expand, including sales, new orders, supplier deliveries, stocks and employment.

All of the regions also showed expansion, including Northern, Central, Canterbury/Westland and Otago/Southland.
