Malta Industrial Production Falls At Slower Pace In June

(RTTNews) - Malta's industrial production declined at a slower rate in June, figures from the National Statistics Office showed Friday.

The industrial output fell 3.8 percent year-over-year in June following the 11.7 percent drop in May.

Production of consumer goods declined the most, by 5 percent in June. Energy production fell 1.9 percent and production of intermediate goods slid 0.1 percent. However, production of capital goods rose 1 percent in June.

On a month-over-month basis, industrial production rebounded strongly, by 4.9 percent, after the 0.3 percent fall in May. Production of intermediate goods, capital goods and consumer goods increased.
