Japan Retail Sales Data Due On Tuesday
(RTTNews) - Japan is on Tuesday scheduled to release retail sales figures for September, highlighting a modest day for Asia-Pacific economic activity.
Retail sales are expected to rise 0.9 percent on month and 0.8 percent on year following the 1.2 percent yearly increase and the 1.9 percent monthly jump in August. Sales from large retailers are tipped to add 0.7 percent on year after climbing 1.6 percent in the previous month.
Japan also will see October results for its small business confidence index, with forecasts suggesting a score of 48.5 - up from 47.6 in September.
China will release September numbers for industrial profits; in August, profits were down 0.6 percent on year.
