Italy Consumer Confidence Falls Less Than Expected In December
(RTTNews) - Italy's consumer confidence weakened for the first time in five months in December, but less-than-expected, figures from the statistical office Istat showed Tuesday.
The consumer confidence index dropped to 117.6 in December from 118.4 in the previous month. Economists had expected the index to fall to 117.0.
Similarly, the index measuring manufacturing confidence fell slightly to 104.1 in December from 104.4 in November. Meanwhile, it was expected to remain stable at 104.4.
The overall business confidence index also worsened to 105.8 in December from 107.1 a month earlier.
