German Manufacturing Turnover Rebounds In June

(RTTNews) - German manufacturing sector turnover recovered in June, a report from German statistical office DESTATIS showed Friday.

Manufacturing turnover increased by a seasonally and working day adjusted 0.4 percent month-over-month in real terms in June. This followed a revised 1.1 percent drop in May.

International sales rose 0.7 percent while domestic sales fell 0.1 percent in June.

On a year-over-year basis, manufacturing turnover rose 2.3 percent in June. Domestic sales grew 0.6 percent and international sales increased 4.1 percent.

In the January to June period, manufacturing sales climbed 3.3 percent year-over-year.

A separate report showed that the number of business insolvencies reported in local courts in Germany fell 14.6 percent year-over-year to 1,932 in May. The number last increased in October 2012.
