ELETROBRAS: Employees Approve Strike Indicative For June 25

(RTTNews) - Eletrobras' employees approved at a meeting an indication of strike for June 25, in the case the state-owned power company does not advance in the wage negotiations and in the new collective bargaining agreement.

This week, Eletrobras' workers linked to the National Federation of Urban Utilities (UNF) and the National Electricity Collective (CNE) stopped their activities for 72 hours in protest against the company's privatization project and demanded that Eletrobras CEO Wilson Ferreira Junior be ousted.

That agenda should also be addressed again by the workers during the demands for improvement in working conditions and wage increases, under discussion in the collective agreement.
