Denmark Industrial Output Recovers In June

(RTTNews) - Denmark's industrial production rebounded in June, after two months of decline, a report from Statistics Denmark showed Friday.

Industrial production recovered by a seasonally adjusted 5.3 percent month-over-month in June, after the declining for two consecutive months. In May, industrial production fell 2.8 percent.

Most of the sub-industries recorded increases in output in June. Output in the pharmaceuticals industry rose the most, by 35.5 percent.

Production of non-durable goods increased 14.4 percent in June. This was followed by increases in production of consumer durables and intermediate goods. However, production of capital goods declined.

On a year-over-year basis, industrial production rose 11.1 percent in real terms. Excluding the pharmaceutical industry, production increased 4.5 percent annually.

In the second quarter, production grew 1.8 percent from the previous three months. Excluding the pharmaceutical industry, production grew just 0.8 percent.
