COLOMBIA: Santos To Visit Brazil To Promote Trade And Investment

(RTTNews) - The President of Colombia, Juan Manuel Santos, should arrive in Brazil on Tuesday for an official visit intended at consolidating bilateral ties while promoting trade and investment.

During his stay, the Colombian president is expected to meet his Brazilian counterpart, Michel Temer. He also scheduled a meeting with Brazilian businesspeople and should take part in an international forum on policies aimed at early childhood care, said the Colombian presidency.

The main focus of the visit is the promotion of trade and investment between both countries, especially with the opportunities offered by the new commercial framework of the Agreement of Economic Complementation - ACE-72 - signed between Colombia and the Mercosur.

During the visit, should also be addressed issues such as cooperation in the areas of defense and security environment share a border with more than 1,660 kilometers in the Amazon region.
