COLOMBIA: Economy Grows 3.11% In July, Biggest Increase Since February 2016
(RTTNews) - Colombia's Economic Monitoring Indicator (ISE) reached 157.1 points in July, a 3.11% acceleration on a yearly basis, from +1.56% in June, said the country's statistics office. July's increase was the highest ISE's rise since February 2016. On a monthly basis, however, the indicator fell by 0.18%.
Before seasonal adjustment, the July ISE stood at 159.6, a 3% growth on a yearly basis, also accelerating when compared to the 1.4% annual growth posted in June. On a monthly basis, the indicator decreased by 0.2%.
Between January to July 2017, the Economic Monitoring Indicator recorded a cumulative growth of 1.4% in its original series, decelerating when compared to the 2.0% increase in the same period of the previous year.
