China Leading Index On Tap For Tuesday

(RTTNews) - China will on Tuesday see February results for the leading index from the Conference Board, highlighting a modest day in Asia-Pacific economic activity. In January, the leading index climbed 1.2 percent on month, while the coincident index added 0.2 percent.

The Philippines will release January numbers for import, exports and trade balance. In December, imports were worth $5.29 billion and exports were at $4.59 billion for a trade deficit of $.70 billion.

Malaysia will provide January figures for unemployment; in December, the jobless rate was 2.9 percent with a participation rate of 67.9 percent.

Hong Kong will announce February numbers for imports, exports and trade balance. In January, imports were worth 323.44 billion Hong Kong dollars, while exports were at 303.46 HKD, resulting in a trade deficit of 19.98 billion HKD.
