CHILE: Economic Activity Indicator Up 1.4% In June, Higher Since January
(RTTNews) - Chile's Monthly Index of Economic Activity (IMACEC) rose 1.4% increase in June from a year before, its highest increase since January, according to the country's central bank.
Compared to May, the index increased 0.5% on a seasonally adjusted basis. In the 12 months ended in June, the IMACEC posted a 1.4% growth.
According to the Chilean monetary authority, the mining sector activity index dropped by 0.9% in June from the same period in 2016, while the non-mining indicator increased 1.6% both on the same basis of comparison.
After seasonal adjustment, IMACEC mining indicator fell 0.9% on a monthly basis, while IMACEC non-mining indicator posted a 0.63% growth.
