Bulgaria Industrial Production Rises Slower In June

(RTTNews) - Bulgaria's industrial output increased at a slower rate in June, figures from the National Statistical Institute showed Friday.

The industrial output rose 0.6 percent year-over-year in June, which was notably slower than the 5 percent increase in May. In April, industrial output had risen 3.7 percent.

Manufacturing output rose at a slower rate of 1.8 percent in June following the 3 percent growth in May.

Meanwhile, mining and quarrying output tumbled 1.4 percent in June, after the 7.6 percent rise in May. Production of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply dropped 4.1 percent following the 8.6 percent rise in May.

On a month-over-month basis, industrial output fell 1.3 percent in June, faster than the 1.2 percent fall in May.

Manufacturing output and mining and quarrying output declined 0.5 percent and 3 percent , respectively. However, production of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply rose 0.1 percent.
