BRAZIL: Primary Deficit Estimate For 2018 Falls To R$149.642 Billion
(RTTNews) - The market forecast for the Brazilian primary deficit in 2018 was reduced to R$ 149.642 billion, according to July's Fiscal Prism survey by the country's Ministry of Finance. In June, analysts expected a deficit of R$ 151.192 billion.
For 2019, the primary deficit estimate has risen to R$ 123.288 billion, from R$ 117.875 billion in the previous forecast.
Analysts downgraded this year's revenue forecast to R$ 1.444 trillion, from R$ 1.445 trillion last month. The estimate for net revenue rose from R$ 1.217 trillion to R$ 1.218 trillion.
