BRAZIL: President Orders Security Forces To Clear Trucker Road Blockades
(RTTNews) - Brazilian President Michel Temer ordered national security forces to clear all of the roads that are currently blocked by truck drivers. His decision came after some truck drivers refused to end the demonstrations against high diesel oil prices in spite of the government's commitment to lower federal taxes on the fuel.
"We will not allow consumers to be out of products," Temer said. "We will adopt a security plan to fight the shortages."
