BRAZIL: Central Government Posts Deficit Of R$ 16.422 Billion In June
(RTTNews) - Brazil's Central Government - which includes the National Treasury, Social Security, and the Central Bank - recorded a primary deficit of R$ 16.422 billion in June, according to the National Treasury. The figure is 17.2% lower than the negative result of R$ 19.844 billion recorded in June 2017.
The National Treasury responded by a negative balance of R$ 1.887 billion, Social Security had a deficit of R$ 14.513 billion and the Central Bank added a deficit of R$ 22 million.
Year-to-date, the Central Government primary deficit amounts to R$ 32.867 billion.
